How long to launch and what it takes to integrate

How long does setup take?

24 to 48 hours from card on file. We onboard the first 50 customers personally. Bo (the founder) walks you through script setup, voice selection, and calendar integration on a single call. Your number is live the same business day after that.

Will it work with my existing phone number?

Yes. Port-in is supported and free. If you'd rather keep your number and use Callspring as overflow, we provision a separate local number and you pick the routing.

Does it integrate with my calendar?

Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook today. If you use a practice-management system (dental, salon software like Square or Vagaro), tell us during onboarding. We have integrations or webhook paths for most.

Do I need to write the script myself?

No. Bo writes the first version based on your business, vertical, and the questions you want the agent to ask. You review, suggest edits, we iterate. Most businesses are happy with version two.

Can I run multiple businesses on one account?

Yes. Standard supports 3 brands. High Volume supports 10. Each brand has its own number, voice, script, and routing. Calls, bookings, and billing are scoped per brand.

Can I add AI later if I start on Lines?

How the agent sounds and handles real calls

Will it sound robotic?

No. The only way to know for sure is to call the demo. Voice synthesis is past the uncanny valley for most callers. The agent introduces itself as an AI on the first turn so you're never deceiving anyone, but tone and pacing land naturally.

What if it messes up a booking?

Every call generates a transcript and an outcome tag. For the first 14 days you review each booking before it commits. A soft confirmation step. After that, bookings commit automatically with full audit. If anything lands wrong, the transcript shows what happened and you fix it in one click from the portal.

What if my customer hates AI?

The agent opens with "This is the AI assistant for [Your Business]." Disclosure first. If the caller wants a human, the agent says so and warm-transfers to your line in one sentence. We track caller satisfaction signals and surface negative experiences in your portal.

What happens with unusual requests?

The agent follows your script. Anything outside the script, pricing for an unusual job, a complaint, a request for the owner, triggers a warm transfer or schedules a callback. The agent doesn't improvise on things it shouldn't.

Can it handle accents, background noise, kids screaming?

Mostly yes. Speech recognition handles a wide range of accents well. Heavy background noise (construction sites, traffic) and unclear speech may cause the agent to ask the caller to repeat. Same as a human receptionist. In rare cases it transfers to voicemail.

How does the 7-day trial work?

You pick a plan, enter a card, and we provision your number. The card is captured but not charged until day 8. Cancel anytime before then and you owe nothing.

What if I go over my included minutes?

Overage is $0.40 a minute on Starter, $0.30 on Standard, $0.20 on High Volume. No separate telco line item. You see real-time usage in the portal and we email you if you're trending toward overage.

Are there setup fees or add-ons?

No. The monthly plan is what you pay. Transfers, SMS follow-ups, recordings, transcripts, multi-brand. All included.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Monthly. No contract. Cancel from the customer portal in one click. We pro-rate refund the unused portion of the current month.

Can I change plans mid-month?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and prorate. Downgrades take effect on the next billing cycle. Both are self-serve from the portal.

What if my customer hates AI?

What happens if your service goes down?

Calls fail over to a voicemail-to-email backup so you don't miss anyone entirely. We post status incidents publicly and notify affected customers within 30 minutes.

Is my call data shared with anyone?

No. Your call audio, transcripts, and metadata stay scoped to your account. We never use customer calls to train models. Storage is in the US. Encryption in transit and at rest.

What about TCPA and recording disclosure?

Outbound campaigns require documented consent for each contact. The platform enforces it. Inbound recordings can include a disclosure on the agent's first turn. State-specific rules (IL, CA, FL, TX) handled in routing.

How long are recordings kept?

Default 90 days. Configurable per brand from 30 days to 10 years. Deletions are audited. You can hard-delete an individual recording at any time.

What if I get a complaint about an AI call?

Email us with the time and we'll pull the transcript and recording. The agent always discloses it's an AI on the first turn. Full audit trail exists. If a caller wants to opt out of future contact, the platform soft-stamps an indefinite opt-out. They won't be contacted again.
