Lines FAQ
› Is there an AI listening to my calls on Lines?
No. Lines forwards the call from your business number to your phone. The audio doesn't go through any AI. The call gets logged (caller, duration) and optionally recorded if you turn that on. That's it.
› Can I switch to AI later without losing my number?
Yes. The number stays, your history stays, the portal stays. Turn on the AI receptionist from your settings and the next call is answered by CallSpring. On Assist and up you can have it answer only after hours, when you're busy, or when nobody picks up.
› What if I just want voicemail, no forwarding?
We have a voicemail-only mode. Callers reach your number, hear your greeting, leave a message. You get the recording and a notification. Useful if you want a business number for SMS or for forms that require a real phone number, but you never want it to ring you.
